Razorbacks  Squeak   Season   Opener   Win   In   Tough   Battle   .....

The 2008 Leominster Razorbacks Team opener was a true defensive hard hitting battle with the Connecticut Gamblers that sets the stage for this season. The Razorbacks defense and special team squads both played complete shutdown football that was a big part in the decisive outcome. The Razorbacks offense showed very intermittent glimpses of their overall balanced attack capability due to an extremely high pressuring and swarm tackling Gamblers defense. The Razorbacks offense was able to move the ball 25 yard into their endzone territory with about 4 minutes left in the game. The relentless Gamblers defense again stood their toughness and the Razorbacks offense were forced to go for a field goal on 4th down. The Razorbacks field goal kicker, #36 Steve Modica, went into the game and was able to convert the eventual game winning and only score of this game to go up Razorbacks 3 Gamblers 0. The Gamblers offense were given possession of the ball with about 3 minutes left in the game but the relentless, stifling, very hard hitting Razorbacks defense were able to stop the Gamblers offense on a take away. The Razorbacks offense was then able to sustain a drive with 2 minutes left on the clock converting 1st downs and enabling the clock to run out.

Razorbacks   Next   Regular   Season  Game   On   The   Road   Again   .....

The Leominster Razorbacks TEAM next regular season game will be hosted by the Connecticut Bearcats at Sheenan High School, 142 Hope Hill Road, Wallingford, CT, on July 26, 2008 with kick off starting at 7:00 PM. The Bearcats are a new 2008 NEFL AA and scouting reports indicate that this is another tough, very well coached, disciplined, with talented football athletes Connecticut team providing the expectation to be very formable opponents. The Razorbacks TEAM bus will be departing Doyle Field parking lot in Leominster, MA at approximately 3:00 PM. The Razorbacks TEAM always looks forward to it fans support at all of its games and welcomes all fans to follow our TEAM bus to this game.
